Forward an invoice, get a verdict back.
Send a supplier invoice to check@factline.dev, as a forward or with the PDF or e-invoice attached. Within a minute you get a reply: PASS, REVIEW or HOLD, with the reasons. No account, no software, 20 free checks a month per address.
What the reply checks
- The supplier is in the company register and active, in 10 countries plus GLEIF
- The VAT number is valid in VIES and belongs to that company
- The IBAN is valid and fits the company's country
- The company, its directors and owners against the EU, UN, UK and US sanctions lists and a PEP list
- Bankruptcy in the Dutch insolvency register
- The original sender's email domain: a throwaway domain, a typo of a real one, or one that differs from the company's website
- A bank account that differs from the last invoice you forwarded from the same supplier: the invoice goes on HOLD
Why not just the bank's name check?
Since October 2025 every euro bank checks the account name before a transfer (Verification of Payee). That is good, and it answers one question: does this name hold this account. It does not tell you that the company is dissolved, sanctioned or bankrupt, that the VAT number belongs to someone else, that the mail came from a domain one letter off, or that the bank account is different from last month. Use both.
What we keep
Nothing of the invoice. We count checks per address per month, and per supplier we keep a fingerprint of the last IBAN (a hash and its last four characters) so we can warn you when it changes. We reply only to the address that sent the mail, and only when that mail passed SPF, DKIM or DMARC, so nobody can make us mail someone else.
For an app or an AP agent, the same check is an API call: GET /v1/invoice/check. Questions: hello@factline.dev.
